WHAT'S INCLUDED:
HOW IT WORKS
The device has a total of 360 LED bulbs (120 blue, 120 red, 120 near-infrared) which send wavelengths deep below the skin's surface.
Blue light (415nm) is absorbed into the skin’s first layer, triggering a natural reaction to destroy the acne-causing bacteria to reduce breakouts. Blue 415nm is clinically proven to significantly improve/clear mild to moderate acne by 76% after just 4 weeks (Morton, 2005).
One layer down, red light (633nm) is absorbed. Energising the skin to promote faster repair and renewal, it rejuvenates cells using targeted treatments for a host of concerns including fine lines and wrinkles, redness, pigmentation and psoriasis as well as muscular and joint pain.
Red 633nm and Near Infrared 830nm have been demonstrated to improve skin texture and smoothness by up to 79% (Neil S Sadick, 2008).
In the skin’s deepest layer, near-infrared (830nm) works to reduce inflammation, calm irritation and strengthen the skin. Near Infrared light 830nm has been proven to increase cell regeneration by up to 200% (Dr H Whelan et al, 2001).
HOW TO USE
Step 1: Place the base of the Dermalux Flex MD on a flat surface.
Step 2: Slide the LED panel into the base.
Step 3: Ensure the controller is connected using the cable.
Step 4: Plug this into the base unit and connect the power cable.
Step 5: Familiarise yourself with the manual and get to know the different wavelengths which treat specific problems.
Step 6: Turn on and simply select your treatment using the coloured buttons.
Step 7: Press the start button and relax for the 30-minute treatment session.
IMPROVE FINE LINES & WRINKLES
Red 633nm and Near Infrared 830nm have been clinically proven to increase skin elasticity by 36%, reducing wrinkles and produce collagen to smooth out skin.
CALM REDNESS
LED light is the best way to stimulate skin healing. Infra-red stimulates the ‘wound healing cells’ in the skin causing new ones to form and even out your skin tone.

DO NOT use this device if you suffer from Lupus erythematosus, photosensitive eczema or Albinism. If you use this device system to treat Lupus erythematosus, photosensitive eczema or Albinism you may cause a severe skin reaction.
DO NOT use this device if you suffer from any photosensitive disorder (sensitisation to light). If you use this device and you suffer from a photosensitive disorder you may cause a severe skin reaction.
DO NOT use the device if you suffer from light-induced headaches.
DO NOT use the device if you suffer from any genetic conditions of the eye.
DO NOT use this device if you are taking any medication that can cause photosensitivity. If you use this device and you are taking any medication that can cause photosensitivity you may cause a severe skin reaction. Photosensitivity is a common side effect of various medications. These can include certain antibiotics, chemotherapy drugs, and diuretics. If you are unsure about any medication you may be taking consult your healthcare provider. Other substances not listed above can also cause photosensitivity. Common examples of these substances are St John's Wort, Coal tar, deodorants, antibacterial soaps, artificial sweeteners, naphthalene (moth balls), petroleum products, brightening agents found in laundry detergent, and cadmium sulphide (a chemical injected into the skin during tattooing.
SENSITIVITY TEST
Before carrying out your first treatment you must carry out a sensitivity test. Follow the step by step guide below;
1. Place the device over your inner arm.
2. Switch ON the controller. Then turn the off after 10 minutes.
3. At any time if your skin feels HOT or uncomfortable STOP using the device immediately.
4. After the treatment wait at least 48 hours. If the skin on your inner arm appears red and/or itchy the device is unsuitable for you.
