Cranial Electotherapy Stimulation
Cranial Electotherapy Stimulation
The Alpha-Stim AID is a non-invasive, drug-free treatment that helps to treat a range of psychological conditions. This revolutionary device can help to treat stress, anxiety, insomnia and depression. The device uses CES (Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation) to relax and calm the body by sending tiny electric currents via the earclips.
The therapy is non-invasive, drug-free, and can be used in conjunction with most other treatments.
What's Inside
Stress Awareness Month
April marks Stress Awareness Month with the theme for 2021 focusing on ‘Regaining Connectivity, Certainty and Control’. One device that could help you to do just that is the Alpha-Stim Aid which one customer described as a miracle worker.
“My son Joshua has had such amazing results, I am totally gobsmacked! He is so calm and sleeping so much better. We haven't been able to access mental health services for Joshua due to lockdown. I can't imagine how he would be now, without using the device. I really do think it's made such a difference for him.
For myself, my sleep has dramatically improved, I am also less anxious. I've found it so much easier to relax and not have to worry about this virus. I think the device is fabulous as another method for treatment for both depression and anxiety." - Danielle, 33
Why Alpha-Stim AID Works
In new trials conducted by the NHS, it has been found that the mild electric currents delivered by Alpha-Stim AID can relax people who have suffered from anxiety for years, according to The Sunday Times. Conducted in Leicestershire using Alpha-Stim's Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES), patients in the trial used the device for six and 12 weeks.
The device simply clips onto the ears for the CES treatment to be conducted. After 12 weeks, 72% of patients achieved remission whilst 63% of those in the trial saw an improvement in their anxiety symptoms. After 24 weeks, 77% of the patients had achieved remission.

How does Alpha-Stim AID Work?
You may find that any anxiety symptoms are reduced during a single treatment, but the effects can also last for hours after the treatment too. After the initial treatment, you may notice an improvement with any Insomnia you are experiencing; it is advised that this could also take up to 3 weeks.
You can use the device at bedtime or after waking up in the middle of the night. However, CES treatments may interfere with sleep so you may find that the device is best used in the morning. It can still be used at this time to improve sleep quality at night.
Why It Works
Depression typically takes 3 weeks or more of daily treatment to experience significant improvement, but may take considerably longer. After the condition is under control, use of Alpha-Stim 2 – 3 times per week or less is usually sufficient to maintain good results.
It's not possible for the Alpha-Stim to cause long term side effects and the Aid device can be used alongside medication if given the go ahead by your doctor.

Contraindications
The Alpha-Stim® AID may affect the operation of implanted demand-type cardiac pacemakers and implanted defibrillators.
Precautions
For external use only. Do not allow children to use or handle this device without adult supervision. Do not operate potentially dangerous machinery or vehicles during treatment and in some cases for several hours after treatment. Safety of stimulation has not been established during pregnancy.
Current defaults to 1 (100 μA) when the Alpha-Stim AID is turned on. Increase Current slowly (5 is the highest setting) until a slight vertigo is experienced (a dizzy feeling, similar to the sensation of rocking on a boat), then decrease immediately until the dizziness stops. Also decrease immediately if the normal tapping sensation felt on the ear lobes is uncomfortable. For people who have a history of experiencing vertigo such as motion sickness, treat at a subsensory current setting of 1 (100 μA) for one hour or more to prevent residual vertigo after treatment. The tolerable current level will be determined by the subjective feeling of vertigo which should subside immediately upon reducing the current. The current should always be reduced just below the level that causes vertigo.
If you are over sensitised use the device with gauze on your ears before you attach the clips, or attach clips to the web between your fore finger and thumb. You can also use water instead of the solution on the clips.
Device is safe for children to use under adult supervision
