How it works
The SmoothSkin Pure Fit works by using IPL (intense pulsed light) to disable the growth of targeted hair follicles. Each flash is absorbed by the melanin within the hair follicle and converted into heat energy. Over time and with regular use, the hair follicles die, leading to permanent hair reduction and removal.
The advanced built-in 3mm glass UV filter blocks harmful rays from reaching the skin, while the Smart Skin Sensing Technology reads your unique skin tone at over 80x per second to deliver a bespoke, safe treatment.
With 3 modes to choose from; Gentle mode, Speed mode and Standard mode, you can adjust the energy output and number of flashes, ideal for sensitive skin.
The Precision Head lets you target your hair removal right where you need it to zap unwanted lip, chin, toe and bikini fuzz. With up to 130 shots a minute, do your whole body in 10 minutes for quick hair removal at home.
How to use
Step 1: Shave the treatment area. Make sure it is clean of any lotions or soaps and pat dry.
Step 2: Choose your treatment mode, head and intensity.
Step 3: Place the SmoothSkin Pure Fit flat against the treatment area and press the button, moving after each flash in a ‘stamp and glide’ motion.
Step 4: When finished, clean the head and store away.
Who Can Use SmoothSkin Pure Fit Hair Removal Device?
SmoothSkin Pure Fit IPL Hair Removal Device is effective on skin types I to V on the Fitzpatrick Scale and blonde to dark hair.
IPL technology is based on the relation between melanin in the skin and in the hair. It can be ineffective on white, grey or red hair. Since grey and white hair do not contain enough or any melanin, IPL treatment may not work on these hair colours. Red hair contains a different type of melanin, which is not responsive to IPL.
IPL is unsafe for deep-skinned users, as the skin is rich in melanin and could absorb more than the safe amount of energy.

How to use:
1. Prep the area by completing a patch test and shave to ensure the skin is hair-free.
2. After 24 hours, make sure the skin is clean and dry.
3. Use SmoothSkin Pure to steadily glide over the treatment area for even coverage.
4. For best results, we recommend using every week for 12 weeks, with maintenance top-ups every 4 to 8 weeks after that.
Contraindications:
DO NOT try to open SMOOTHSKIN PURE, as this may expose you to dangerous electrical components.
DO NOT use if SMOOTHSKIN PURE is damaged; for example, cracked handset, cable damage (internal wires visible), cracked or broken glass on the handset, etc. This may result in injury.
DO NOT use near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water. If SMOOTHSKIN PURE becomes wet, it should not be used.
DO NOT use if SMOOTHSKIN PURE becomes uncomfortably hot to touch. This may indicate that the unit is damaged.
DO NOT use on areas with semi permanent makeup or tattooed skin. This may cause irritation.
DO NOT use a power supply or other component, other than those provided for use with SMOOTHSKIN PURE. This may damage the unit and cause it to stop working.
DO NOT attempt to activate (flash) SMOOTHSKIN PURE onto any surface other than skin. WARNING no modification of this equipment is allowed.
DO NOT position SMOOTHSKIN PURE so that it is difficult to disconnect from the mains supply.
DO NOT USE if you have had a skin peel treatment on the area you wish to treat. Please wait 30 days after a skin peel before treating with SMOOTHSKIN PURE.Treating tanned skin with Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) may result in permanent Hyperpigmentation (Darkening) or Hypopigmentation (lightening) of the treated skin.
DO NOT USE If you have a known sensitivity to sunlight (photosensitivity) or are taking medication that makes the skin more sensitive and causes photosensitivity, and/or topical retinoids. Always check the instruction leaflet that comes with your medicinal product, to see if photosensitivity is listed as a side effect. Use of SMOOTHSKIN PURE on photosensitive skin could result in skin damage such as swelling or blisters.
SMOOTHSKIN PURE should be kept out of the reach of children under 18 years of age. Children should not use, play with, maintain or clean the device. There are a number of potential risks – exposure to the light output causing burns or eye damage, electrocution, strangulation from the cables.
SMOOTHSKIN PURE should be kept out of reach of pets and pests which could damage the device. Potential risks include reduced function and electrocution.
SMOOTHSKIN PURE is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities. Unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning safe and proper use of the device by a person responsible for their safety.
SMOOTHSKIN PURE glass filter is a critical component that will get hot during use.
DO NOT touch the filter during or directly after use. Regularly inspect the filter for damage.
DO NOT use SMOOTHSKIN PURE if the filter is cracked or missing. Ensure that SMOOTHSKIN PURE treatment window is clean and free from debris. Any debris on or around the treatment window during operation may result in temporary skin changes such as redness or swelling.
Hair removal by lasers or intense pulse light sources can cause increased hair growth in some individuals. Based upon currently available data, the highest risk groups for this response are females of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and South Asian heritage treated on the face and neck.
DO NOT use SMOOTHSKIN PURE on any area where you may want hair to grow back.
DO NOT use SMOOTHSKIN PURE device on man's face, jaw, or neck. The hair in a man's beard area is too dense and using SMOOTHSKIN PURE device in these areas may result in skin injury.
SMOOTHSKIN PURE is not recommended for use on red, grey or blonde hair.
SMOOTHSKIN PURE is not effective on these hair colours.

I'm very glad I've invested in this device. I suffer from PCOS and would often shave every day to maintain semi smooth skin but usually can't cope with long term skin irritation. I've not completed a full 12 weeks series with my smoothskin pure yet, but I'm already seeing great results. The most notable is how the hair regrowth on my legs, bikini and underarms slowed down, allowing me to shave every few days, which is a welcomed improvement! Hair that is growing back is softer. I'm hoping that with regular use the results will be more prominent and can't wait to finish the full treatment. I used Philips lumea several years back but couldn't stick to it as it took way too long to do full legs, etc. Smoothskin pure is so much faster and you can do your whole body fairly quickly. The only downside is that the lamp gets hotter the longer it's in use so treatment itself becomes more painful forcing me to take a break. I find that letting it cool for a few minutes helps, I sometimes split my treatment into 2 separate sessions. Overall I would highly recommend this device to anyone who hates shaving or/and suffers with unwanted, excessive body hair. The quality of the device seems good and I like that it comes with a 2 year warranty, it's corded with a long cable and you don't have to bother with different attachments.

I used to own a Philips Lumea which lasted a good 10 years but the battery just died and this machine was up there in the top 10 of every review list I looked at so decided to buy this instead as a replacement. It is AMAZING! I have only used it 4 times so far as I have since been on holiday and got a tan but my leg hair has dramatically slowed down growth. My skin type is medium-fair with dark coarse hair so I think that's the perfect cocktail for a product like this and so far I'm blown away! It does sting a little on the highest setting but that is to be expected and it's so easy to switch between settings if you need to
