Acne, scarring, dryness or fine lines - plenty of us struggle with skin concerns in our day-to-day lives. So that’s why we’re on a mission to help you love your skin this February. We’re not just talking about ‘perfect skin’ either (or whatever that is). We want everyone to embrace their skin - whatever their age, lifestyle or story. Our skin is part of who we are. It’s our past, present and future, so isn’t it about time you really learned to love it?

In our new skincare story series, we’ll be hearing from real people on their journey. CURRENTBODY customers, staff, beauty influencers, you’ll discover everything from their most important skincare lessons to the best products giving them a helping hand. So if you’re looking for a little skin-spiration, read on.

“One of the most important lessons? Develop a skincare routine.”

As a 20-year-old, you might think that Teegan’s skin would be full of life, brightness and elasticity. However, she often struggles with dullness, breakouts and dry skin. “Sometimes it impacts my confidence. I think it would be nice to have clear skin.”

Having used concealers and harsh chemicals, Teegan soon realised that taking care of her skin was more important than covering it up. From serums and face masks to vitamin C supplements and moisturiser, the 20-year-old is now on a mission to find a new skincare routine that includes regular cleansing and moisturising.

“Now, I couldn’t live without my face moisturisers or eye cream. I also drink lots of water and wear daily SPF to take care of my skin. In fact, I’d say the most important lesson I’ve learned when it comes to skincare is to drink water, develop a skincare routine and don’t use harsh chemicals.”

“I've accepted that my skin is quite good and perfect skin doesn't exist.”

Has your skin lost its mojo? Brightness and texture were the two main concerns for one of our CURRENTBODY customers. Although they wish to remain anonymous, the 27-year-old told us they would “look at photos or in a mirror and think my skin is quite dull.”

Motivated to do something about it - both for themselves and their skin - they invested in the award-winning CURRENTBODY skin LED Light Therapy Mask. Combining anti-ageing red and near infrared light therapy, the mask reduces fine lines and wrinkles, and boosts the look and feel of your skin. In fact, after using the device regularly, 95% of users said their skin tone, texture, firmness and tightness improved.

“I combined this with no makeup or touching my face, lots of water and good food. I also use lots of coconut oil and wear SPF.” As the body’s largest organ, it’s no surprise that a healthy lifestyle can have huge benefits for the skin. Pair this with the mask’s pain-free and non-invasive skin rejuvenating treatment and you’ll enjoy both instant and long-term results.

Looking to improve the relationship that you have with your skin? We’ve collated our top pieces of advice for doing just that - and you’ll even find a whole host of beauty products and devices to help you out. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for our next skincare story, and if you’re on your own journey, we’d love to hear about it. Join in the conversation on Instagram.
